The Internet of AI (IoAI) is the machine network where applications, agents, models, and tools exchange work at the speed of thought. CGP Gateway is how an enterprise connects to it without giving up its identity, data, policy, or billing.

Why it matters

Agents can talk and pay. Crossing company lines is still custom work.

The first internet is the one humanity built on TCP/IP, for web pages, email, and everything a person clicks. Every consequential action on it routes through a human: a login, an approval, a card, a signature. The second is being born now, and on it agents write software, move data, research, negotiate, purchase, and verify.

The rails of that second internet are being laid in public: MCP connects agents to tools and data, A2A and ACP let agents from different vendors talk, and payment protocols such as x402 let them pay. What is still missing is the layer that lets an enterprise plug into that world safely and commercially.

Beyond payment

Payment confirms value moved. A receipt confirms work happened.

Agent payment protocols validate the category, and they move money reliably. But an agent interaction is not a checkout event. The payment must be bound to the work: what was requested, under what authority, what was done, by whom, at what cost, and with what evidence.

Think of the Internet of AI as a foreign economy that runs at machine speed, and the gateway as its port of entry. A port does not manufacture anything. It standardizes passage: customs, paperwork, payment, and proof, so any ship can trade with any market. Your software states what it wants done and what it may spend; what comes back is the finished work plus a verifiable receipt.

Every transaction begins with the principal, the scope of what the agent may do, and the spend ceiling the work must stay within.

Open a supply-side configuration of the same gateway so a team’s own services become agent-payable destinations, with service fees flowing peer to peer.

The HyperCycle foundation

An access layer above the substrate, never a node.

CGP Gateway is built on HyperCycle technology. On the HyperCycle substrate, boundary nodes are designed to admit external traffic into the machine network, network nodes to perform native work, and the TODA/IP protocol to settle value directly between counterparties without a global ledger.

The gateway is the commercial access and policy layer above that substrate. It is not a node and never becomes one, and it stays useful on existing rails while the native path matures. Substrate capabilities remain design intent until they are independently measured. The approach is simple: interoperate at the edge, govern at the boundary, and route work to the destinations the customer authorizes.
